Dates
Dates are the STAR ⭐️ ingredient in our delicious date & nut bites. We make our date paste from scratch, it’s our homemade secret sauce that gives our bites the perfect texture & chewiness. Dates are also the reason we use no added sugars. They are naturally super sweet and packed with fiber that keeps you satisfied without spiking your blood sugar. Do you know that some doctors recommend 2 dates a day? The fiber aids the digestive system. We also love that dates are full of essential vitamins and nutrients like calcium, vitamin K, magnesium and selenium.
Almonds
Known as the most nutrient dense nut, almonds are a rich source of monounsaturated fat, vitamin E, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium and iron. They are a key ingredient in Cocoa Craze and Key Lime Love and we only use raw, unroasted almonds for the best bites.
Walnuts
Raw walnuts are the shining star in our Off The Walnut bites. They blend perfectly with dates and sea salt to satisfy that sweet and salty craving. Walnuts are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, which improve brain health and memory function. These fatty acids may also help in boosting mood. A good reason to get your dose of walnuts!
Pecans
Our Cocoa Craze bites get a big flavor boost from pecans. These buttery-sweet nuts mix so well with dates and cocoa. Pecans are ranked by the USDA as one of the Top 20 foods with the highest antioxidants levels. They are an excellent source of vitamin E, protecting the body from harmful oxygen-free radicals.
Cashews
We use raw cashews in our Chia Crunch and Key Lime Love. Cashews give both flavors a good combo of crunch and chewiness. We think the cashews & date combo in our Chia Crunch tastes a bit like cookie dough, but without the added sugar of course. Filled with heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, cashews have a hearty dose of vitamin K, magnesium and copper.
Dry Roasted Peanuts
Technically a legume, peanuts are not nuts, but we love them just the same. Dry roasted peanuts are nutritionally very similar to tree nuts having abundant disease prevention properties such as a good source of Coenzyme Q10 and containing all 20 amino acids. Plus the dry roasting process boosts these to promote overall longevity. Just two Peanut Envy bites contain 6 grams of protein, as much as a serving of beans.
Chia Seeds
Chia seeds are the crunch to our Chia Crunch bites. We source high quality seeds for the perfect mild, nutty flavor. Chia Seeds are commonly called superfoods, or functional food. As the richest plant source of omega-3 fatty acids, chia seeds are a complete protein, containing all nine essential amino acids. They are also packed with all the good stuff like fiber, protein, and antioxidants.
Unsweetened Coconut
We love coconut so much we use it twice! Big chunks of coconut chips on the inside and smaller shredded flakes on the outside. It gives our bites a little crunch and all the yum of coconut’s natural sweetness. Our coconut is unsweetened and dehydrated at low temperatures to maintain its nutritional goodness. The health benefits include high in fiber, iron and healthy fat, and helps with feeling full longer.
Cocoa Powder
We love an excuse to eat more chocolate. Our Cocoa Craze bites have a complex, rich cocoa powder to satisfy when chocolate cravings hit. Cocoa is rich in flavanols that have been shown to lower blood pressure and reduce risk of diabetes and heart disease. But the best part is that it makes us happy! Dark chocolate helps the brain make serotonin, the happiness hormone.
